Founder of Battlegroundz magazine Marshayne Winfield came up with the idea to give underground battle MCs a platform to speak to the masses about there up and coming projects as well as vent about there past battles, future matches and potential conquests. All this to be stuffed on pages ultimately creating Battlegroundz magazine but with no budget to create physical copies of Battlegroundz mag Marshayne took his idea and pitched it to Antoine Clark owner and publisher of Feds magazine at the same time creating a buzz amongst rising hip hop stars and underground battle rappers moving with the Feds magazine stamp he would show up to different events with camera crews doing small interviews with new recording artist like Fred The Godson and street battle rappers like Goodz Da Animal. August 2011 Battlegroundz first featured in Feds magazine with 4 small interviews and 1 full page interview all underground battle rappers seeing the potential and drive that Marshayne possessed Antoine Clark plugged him in with producer Joe Maldonado of Contrackz music together a mix tape presented by feds magazine was born "BATTLEGROUNDZ"
